Intervolve Network Data Transit

Intervolve provides a fully protected network service for its client internet services as part of service provision. Intervolve provides a redundant network connection experience for its clients, through the use of a Layer 3 Managed Network and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4) delivered via multiple upstream transit providers, diverse transit termination points, and redundant Cisco Routers and Switches utilising either HSRP (Cisco Hot Standby Routing Protocol) or VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) to ensure maximum uptime for client services is achieved.

Each Intervolve state network is multi-homed, with multiple active paths and upstream carriers to provide a fully protected internet service for client services. The internal network design is also fully protected and Intervolve can cater for client requirements demanding the ultimate in uptime service provision, yet by providing a shared network service, thus passing on cost savings to clients.

Each state network is also fully independent to mitigate common risks in upstream data carriage. Each Intervolve state network has been designed to be resilient for the highest level of uptime, and guarantees a 99.9% SLA. Intervolve is confident that its network will outperform its SLA over a calendar year period through its disaster recovery provisions and failover design that is monitored and managed by its Network Operations Centre.

As part of our service provision, we believe that a fully redundant and fully protected network service provision is necessary, in terms of our data centre services we operate with an N+1 strategy in mind, which carries to our approach in the provision of our data services. Whilst we are able to provide single upstream network services (at a reduced rate due to the lack of protection in upstream service provision), this isn't recommended nor the norm.
