Summary Site UPS Maintenance (Secondary/B Feed)
Services Power
Areas Adelaide - Pooraka
Details

During the window, contractors will be performing the replacement of fans and DC capacitors of the UPS providing power to the secondary or "B" feed of DC1 & DC2 as part of regular preventative maintenance.

As this requires the units to be placed into bypass mode for brief periods during the maintenance, site load will be shifted to generator supply when necessary.  As a further precaution, a spare UPS unit will be cycled in to the circuit to protect load whilst the in-place unit is maintained within the maintenance window.

Please note that this is a HAZARD notification only and we do not anticipate any problems arising during this maintenance. If you have any questions, please contact the Intervolve Support Team on 1300 664 574 or via email to support@intervolve.com.au

UPDATE: 29/03/2018 17:51:36 GMT+10:30 ACDT
Emergency Hazard Update: Unfortunately, recent maintenance to the B unit UPS has resulted in a software freeze of the unit's control system. Whilst the power feed has not been impacted, the unit requires to be placed into maintenance bypass to diagnose the issue. Specialist technicians are on site to perform the required diagnostics. This update is issued as a HAZARD warning only as impact to the IT load is not anticipated. Updates to follow, on completion of diagnostics.

UPDATE: 29/03/2018 20:19:00 GMT+10:30 ACDT
Technicians have completed diagnostics and elected to cycle in a standby UPS unit whilst the original B unit is inspected. Bypasses have been removed and all IT load at the facility is fully protected.
